Effective Health Care
Over 80% of Americans will have spinal health problems in their lifetime. (1988 New England Journal of Medicine). Back pain is the second largest cause of hospitalization in the U.S., second only to normal deliveries. Between 1971 and 1981 the U.S. population rose by 12.5...
DO YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES SUFFER?
with headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pains, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, carpel tunnel syndrome problems, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in arms and legs, and athletic injuries, or other pain?
Chiropractic care can help relieve and rid these pains and ailments.
Patients are evaluated in our office with examinations and x-rays to determine the health and efficiency of their nervous system. If the spine is misaligned, it causes nerve interference which leads to many painful symptoms.
Once the condition of your spine is thoroughly evaluated, a unique care plan is designed for each patient.
The spinal column is truly a work of art. As the body's main communications channel, it showcases nature's own engineering skills. The basic structure of the spine is a series of 24 moveable bones, called vertebrae, which form the backbone from the base of the skull to the pelvis. These vertebrae are...
Let's face it, your child came into this world on a wild ride without a seat belt! Did you ever stop and think about the tremendous force placed on your baby's tiny neck and back as he or she was pulled from the birth canal? Talk about a shock to the system! Maybe there just wasn't any way around the twisting, turning, jerking, and jolting of the birth process. But the spine is the housing for the baby's entire nervous system and the future health of the child can be affected by those few crucial moments. Nature may have its way of erasing the "memory" of this traumatic experience, however, serious problems such as spinal curvatures, misalignments and other structural disorders can still occur. These conditions that begin at birth can grow into more serious problems later on in life if not corrected.

Continue Care for Maximum Results
Have you ever wondered why it seems to take a long time to complete the prescribed course of chiropractic care even though you may have been out of pain for a long period of time?
There are normally three stages of care that you will go through during your course of treatment.
They are Relief Care, Corrective Care, and Maintenance Care.
Relief care provides temporary relief from your symptoms or pain, but does not correct the cause.
Corrective care, on the other hand, takes longer because you are trying to correct the source of the problem. Some considerations in the length of this treatment are the condition and integrity of the patient's spinal column, the age and physical condition of the person, and the age and severity of the problem. A complete correction is not always possible for everyone. Dr. Sather will discuss with you the possibility of a complete correction for your case. If correction is possible, it normally takes one to six months of stabilization.
Maintenance care ensures that the integrity of the spine is being maintained. It involves a periodic checkup and adjustments as needed only.
What happens when you discontinue care?
Some people are just concerned about relieving the symptoms, while others know that a complete correction is best for their overall health. The choice is up to you, but you should discuss this with Dr. Sather so that you know the facts as they pertain to your case.
GREAT REASONS TO CONTINUE CARE
Continue your progress.
Research shows that ligaments and muscles supporting the spine take longer to heal than the pain or symptoms last. Continuing care encourages your spine to heal completely and faster than on-again, off-again treatments.
Prevent a relapse.
